Job Requirements: • Maintain a safe work environment.
• Drive and operate a forklift.
• Operate Overhead Crane • Transport dies between storage and presses.
• Clean and grease dies.
• Review schedule and Plan daily work agenda • Operate a sandblast booth and a steam clean machine • Preassemble / disassemble tooling set-ups as required to specified procedures • Able to use a sledge hammer as part of assembly disassembly.
• Load and unload dies from Car bottom furnaces • Assist in die set-ups at the press.
• Return dies to correct locations in die storage.
• Maintain computerized die inventory and perform audits.
• Maintain die storage.
• Assure quality and production requirements are met.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Participate in departments 5s program.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Takes strong ownership of work in progress and communicates with co-workers, Leads, Supervisors and Managers (as needed) • Comply with all APP, Inc.
safety rules and company policies • Demonstrates a firm commitment to achieving APP’s Key Results • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to Lead / Supervisor / Manager.
• Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported per APP’s safety policy.
Skill Requirements: • Completed High School.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.
• Previous forging experience is preferred, but not required.
• On-the-job training is provided for this position.
• 3 months related manufacturing/production experience.
• Able to read and understand instructions.
