This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Data Scientist Intern to help shape the future of our manufacturing operations.
We are seeking a passionate co-op Intern with a background in machine learning to join our Manufacturing Analytics team.
The ideal candidate will work with various forms of time series and/or image data to unearth actionable insights to enhance our manufacturing processes.
Candidates will benefit from seasoned professionals' mentorship and the opportunity to tackle real-world problems with significant impact.
Throughout your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in transitioning experimental machine-learning models to production in a reliable and efficient manner.
This will equip you with the practical skills essential for implementing data solutions in a real-world, industrial setting beyond the confines of theoretical modeling.
Key Responsibilities • Data Analysis & Pre-processing: Prepare and clean time-series/image data sets for analysis.
Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in detailed and complex data.
• Model Development: Implement and validate predictive models; experiment with different machine learning techniques ranging from linear regressions to generative models as fits the problem.
• Data Visualization: Create intuitive and actionable visualizations that provide insights into manufacturing process performance and areas of improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing engineers and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Report Findings: Communicate results and insights from your analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders, offering actionable recommendations.
Job Requirements • Candidates should be pursuing a graduate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML and data-related libraries such as Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
• Experience working with time series and/or image data.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate plans and information in a concise, effective manner in both verbal and written form • Ability to work independently or on a team in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills: • Experience in manufacturing or industrial analytics.
• Experience in semiconductor • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Software development experience in one or more modern programming languages • Experience working with large data sets The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.

is currently USD $26.
00 - $47.
50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.
S.
is currently USD $22.
50 - $42.
00 per hour.
Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.
S.
