In this role:
As a Senior Printed Circuit Board/Printed Wiring Board Designer you will have the primary responsibility of design of multi-function, RF/microwave microelectronic assemblies.
You will also get to develop new PCB based products, from rough schematic to fully documented fabrication and assembly instructions.
To be successful, you will interface with manufacturing to transition products into production, assisting in the resolution of manufacturing issues, and the generation and maintenance of all design and associated ECO documentation.
You are responsible for: * Electro-mechanical design and optimization of multi-function RF/microwave PWB/PCB assemblies * Using Printed Circuit Board layout tools (i.
e.
, Cadence Allegro, Concept HDL) to generate detailed circuit board layouts (component placement and routing) from electrical schematics * Utilizing CAD tools (i.
e.
, AutoCAD® and SolidWorks®) to generate detailed circuit board prints and mechanical designs * Managing Microsoft Office tools (i.
e.
, Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint) for daily activities * Using production control software to (i.
e.
, Oracle) to control bill of materials and part lists * Interfacing with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly Maintenance ECAD library * Supporting preparation of documentation required for presentation at engineering design reviews, etc.
* Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports * Supporting operations to transition newly developed products into full production Required Qualifications: * Associate of Science Electronic Drafting and Design degree or equivalent and 4+ years experience or 7+ years' experience in a similar field without a degree * Knowledgeable regarding electronic packaging design and mechanical design guidelines * Proficiency with CAD tools: Cadence Allegro, Concept HDL, familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or equivalents) * Knowledge of IPC Standards Preferred Qualifications: * Previous digital board design work * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to read schematic diagrams for transition to layout * Creative problem-solving skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Self-motivated and highly organized * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools * Ability to multi-task and work in a flexible and changing environment with multiple competing deadlines Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $92,000 - $149,000 for a Technical Individual Contributor III at Oxnard CA USA.
