on a daily basis to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget Estimating and bidding Delivering private and public commercial projects successfully from inception to completion Negotiating prime and subcontract agreements, safeguarding company interests and incorporating acceptable terms Managing budgets and schedule through proactive planning and management Communicating effectively orally and through written correspondence Adopting company culture centered around honesty, integrity, and continuous improvement Job brief We are looking for an experienced and seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of major capital new construction and renovation projects within the Public Sector in the Santa Barbara area from start to finish.
Working closely with a site superintendent, you will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities Build strong professional working relationships with key stakeholders Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met Hire subcontractors and vendors, allocate responsibilities Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports Submit monthly progress billings, ensure labor compliance and documentation needs are met Create and maintain construction scheduling, phasing, and sequencing Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Requirements Proven experience as construction project manager In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards Good knowledge of MS Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, Project Familiarity with construction / project management software, Procore and BlueBeam Preferred Familiarity and oversight experience for direct performed trade work including earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, and framing.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills A team player with leadership abilities BSc/BA in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Science or relevant field preferred PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
