In this role:
Manage a group of technicians and engineers and oversee product troubleshooting, equipment repairs and services, and the calibration of all manufacturing equipment.
Successfully troubleshoots and dispositions prototypes and released products to meet the operational and customer requirements.
Responsible for the coordination and planning of all equipment services or repairs.
Works with calibration labs and service companies to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Works closely with the building facilities team to plan equipment needs that affect or rely upon building maintenance.
Develops equipment Preventative Maintenance schedules and policies.
Monitors and reports equipment downtime and develops action plans to improve equipment utilization.
Participates in the capital equipment reviews and selection of new tools.
You are responsible for:
Leading a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring that manufacturing equipment is fully supported
Ensures that all equipment calibrations are completed and calibration records are properly maintained
Coordinates equipment repairs and services with facilities, manufacturing and engineering
Ensures that priorities are scheduled with operations and manufacturing teams for equipment or product troubleshooting and repairs
Evaluate and resolve causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structured problem solving
Develop and recommend policies and procedures which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and reduces non-value operations
Reports on the efficiencies of equipment and operations, including equipment downtime and utilization
Responsible for screening, hiring, training and development of staff
Evaluate and resolve causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structured problem solving
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
10 years of experience in RF electronics manufacturingwith Chip & Wire assemblies
Strong people management skills
AS9100 experience
Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot products and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organization and analytical skills
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is highly desired
Test, Burn-In, Die Attach, Wire Bond, Dicing, Seal
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of material handling, manufacturing equipment and processes, assembly equipment and processes, and test methods
Evaluate and resolve causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structured problem solving
Strong MS Office skills required, with emphasis in Excel
Must be able to understand, manipulate and analyze data using Excel pivot tables
Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Proven leadership skills
Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $83,000 - $143,000 for a Non-Technical Principal / Manager at Oxnard CA USA
