Our Finance department is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment.
Responsibilities: Responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
Must have prior work experience in Accounts Payable and a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principals.
Needs high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong data entry skills with hands-on experience with excel spreadsheets.
MAS500 experience is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Wire Payments – Request payments, create vouchers and enter payments in appropriate systems.
• AP Checks – Verify, receive, and pay invoices.
• PayPal – Make payments, create vouchers, and issue refunds, if necessary.
• Independent Contractors/Vendors – Account set-up/verification
• ACH Payments – Schedule and record payments.
• Purchase Orders - Create orders, verify and receive/record payments.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred - 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related role - Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles - Proficiency in using accounting software and 10-key typing skills - Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation and analysis - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Strong organizational and time management skills
